A 1-year-old infant took care of her sick mother whose temperature was close to 40 degrees Celsius in southeast China.

Heartwarming CCTV footage captured on December 22, 2022 at around 1:00 am in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province shows, a baby named Lei Xingyue passing her water bottle to her mother to take a sip after the mother said "giving some water to mum, mum doesn't feel well."

The infant then also crawled to her mother and hugged her tightly after she said she felt so cold.

According to the mother named Lei Yingqiu, her daughter had a fever several days ago. Since she was afraid that she could not wake up in time to take care of Xingyue, she did not take medicine even though she was having a fever as well.

Lei thought her daughter probably imitated the way she took care of her.

A warmhearted CCTV footage captured on December 22 at around 1 am in Fujian, Fuzhou, China, shows a baby having her mother sip water after hearing her mother murmur she was thirsty.

The baby, Lei Xingyue, then crawled to her mother and hugged her tightly when the mother said she felt so cold.

According to the mother Ms. Lei Yingqiu, the baby got a fever several days ago. That night she didn’t take any medicines for fear that she couldn’t wake up at once if her baby caught a fever again.

Ms. Lei replayed the recording after wakeup. She found her baby didn’t give up feeding water until she opened her mouth.

The baby was probably to imitate the way that her mother took care of her as usual, Ms. Lei guessed.

Only the mother and her baby stayed at home when it happened. The father works in another city far away from home.
