Mount Marapi in West Sumatra, Indonesia continues to erupt. One of the active volcanoes first erupted on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Until now, the eruption continues to occur.

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of West Sumatra Province reminded residents to increase their vigilance.

Head of Emergency and Logistics BPBD W Sumatra, Rumainur said:
"We received news that Kerinci also erupted. Even the eruption of the kerinci is much higher. But it's the same with Marapi, so far there hasn't been any movement or evacuation of the people..etc..”

Residents are asked to be vigilant and not approach the mountain at a radius of 3 kilometers from the crater or from the peak.**
