Footage shows Chinese developers as they turn a former multi-storey child brothel into a hot pot noodle restaurant.

The building was home to the Nataree entertainment complex before it was raided and closed down by police in 2016 for selling underage girls. High-ranking officials that were forced into action by NGOs found eight child prostitutes among 121 who were working inside the large hotel-like building, with paperwork showing the owners had made regular payments to police to allow them to operate with impunity.

Many of the girls were found to have been trafficked from Laos and plied with gifts, cosmetic surgery and cash for their impoverished village relatives.

Chinese developers have now poured Communist cash into the structure to turn it into a 'suki' restaurant in the Ratchada area of Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage shows them working on the development last month. A source at the building site said: 'The Chinese have a lot of money. They are the only people who could afford to buy the building.'

Local newspaper the Bangkok Post reported that the managers of Nataree massage parlour had paid 'substantial bribes to police officers in order to be allowed to operate'.

Fugitive owner Prasert Sukkhee was finally arrested in October 2021. Five others involved in running the brothel were each sentenced to up to 13 years in jail each.

General Suchart Theerasawat, Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Police, said Prasert had been wanted since 2016 on charges of human trafficking, prostitution of minors, money laundering and harbouring undocumented migrants.
