Five people killed by Russian strike on residential building in Dnipro, Ukraine

A Russian missile attack hit a nine-storey residential building in Dnipro, Ukraine, today (January 14) killing at least five people and injuring many others.

Valentyn Reznichenko, Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, said that 27 people were injured. Among them, six are children. "They were all hospitalised", he explained.

The footage shows rescuers working on the ground and evacuating people on stretchers.

The Head of the State Emergency Service, Sergei Kruk, said that 15 people were pulled from the rubble during the search and rescue operation.

"The State Emergency Service's units are working in coordination. More than 80 officers and over 20 rescue equipment tools have been deployed", Kruk explained.

The footage was shared by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SAS).
