A crazed Russian tourist allegedly smashed a shop's door and attacked locals during a violent rampage in Thailand.

The middle-aged holidaymaker reportedly walked inside the convenience store and took a bottle of water without paying for it in Pattaya on January 16 at about 4:30 am.

But after stealing the item, the problematic man allegedly returned to the store and grabbed another customer's buttocks before throwing a tantrum when he was rejected.

The frenzied Russian reportedly shattered the glass door, with debris flying all over and injuring a female cashier.

He also allegedly head-butted a motorcycle taxi rider who told him to stop until authorities arrived to subdue him.

Footage shows terrified store workers waiting outside the shop. Another clip showed police storming inside before coming out with the aggressive tourist with his hands tied behind his back.

Shaken store attendant Kanya Inpanon, 53, said: ‘The man grabbed a bottle of water inside and ran out. He ran in again and grabbed the butt of a Russian tourist.

‘He went on a rampage before the motorcycle taxi rider went inside and asked him to leave. He tried to escape and broke the glass.'

Police said tourist had blood all over his face, which also smeared on his jacket with green marijuana plant printed and orange shirt.

Riders who were outside the shop rushed to help but they were allegedly attacked by the tourist so they called the police for help.

The rider and the injured store attendant were taken to the hospital to treat their wounds.

Meanwhile, the tourist was taken to Pattaya Police Station to face charges, although none had been filed yet as he was uncooperative.

A police spokesman said: 'He did not have any identification documents with him and refused to cooperate. He will remain in the police station during the investigation.'
