Luxury hotel breakfast-in-bed experience goes viral as visitors dine tucked up outside
A lavish ski resort has taken breakfast in bed to a whole new level, serving up fry-ups outside in Baltic temperatures – as one Instagram influencer has revealed in a video.
In the northern Italian region of Trentino, you'll find Vermiglio, a small town perched on Mount Boai.
Visitors flock to the beautiful site but one man was more intrigued by the meals than the mountain.
Staying at Hotel Chalet al Foss, Eric Hardiman decided to enjoy a buffet while cosied up in a king-size bed, but the catch? The bed is located outside in the snow.
And it's not a cheap experience either; dining al fresco at the luxury site can apparently set you back £115 (€130)
The 36-year-old shared his experience on Instagram, where it has since racked up 131,000 views and left social media users stunned.
In the clip, he can be seen tucking into an enormous spread of coffee, pancakes, fruits, doughnuts, granola and juice.
Despite being surrounded by a wintery wonderland, Eric appears to be having the time of his life.
“At first I was very nervous about the snow because I don’t like the cold,” Eric said.
“But I love to try new experiences and see new places so I had to try it.
“I found this hotel online and I booked a plane ticket and reserved the hotel room.
“After that I made the reservation for the breakfast experience in the snow.
“It was much more relaxing than you think, and it is way warmer than it looks in the pictures.
“The experience was very unique.
“The bed and blankets are electric and heated so it was very warm, like a fireplace.
“I got to relax as the staff takes your custom breakfast orders for food and drinks.
“They bring out a tray of appetizers at first which is in the video.
Users have flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on the bizarre moment.
“How did the food stay warmed?” asked one user.
“Breakfast on another level!” said someone else.
Someone else wrote, “I find this ridiculous….”
Although it doesn’t sound like the warmest way to start the day, guests can stay cosy under their duvet and electric blankets are also provided by the hotel.
Despite the cold, Eric has no regrets and insists the outdoor breakfast is worth wrapping up for.
The lavish hotel is situated in the stunning Italian mountains and provides a range of other unique dining experiences that don’t involve cold feet.
They also invite their guests to enjoy a floating breakfast as they take a dip in their luxury pool.
Holiday-goers can even share their breakfast banquet with alpacas amongst the beautiful mountains.
