A big wild tusker was seen moving around and scaring locals in southern India's Kerala.

The incident took place at Anayirankal in Munnar in Idukki district on January 14.

Visuals showed a big elephant coming out of the river and started running after the people standing around.

Seeing him, everyone started running from there to save their lives. After going a little far, local forest officials and those people showed courage and tried to shoo away the pachyderm.

According to Ramesh Bishnoi, District forest officer, the pachyderm is called Arikomban, which means rice eating elephant.
