Residents climb on plane crash wreckage in Nepal that killed at least 69
Residents swarmed the wreckage of a plane that crashed in Nepal killing at least 69 people on January 15.
Footage shows the locals gathered around the smoking remains of the Yeti Airlines ATR-72 plane that fell in Pokhara city.
The turboprop short-haul jet carrying 72 people had taken off from the capital Kathmandu when it reportedly lost contact with a control tower. The weather was reportedly clear when the crash happened.
Rescuers combed through the hillside near the crash site and have so far recovered 69 bodies, including two people believed to be South Korean nationals. The cause of the accident is still unclear.
Sunday's crash has been labelled the worst aviation disaster in three decades in Nepal, a nation with unpredictable weather and mountainous areas said to contribute to the accidents.
