Emotions runs high in Nepal as relatives of 69 killed in plane crash wait to collect bodies

Relatives of the at least 69 passengers who were killed in a plane crash in Nepal gathered outside the city hospital to collect the bodies of the victims.

The bodies have been kept at the Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences (Gandaki Hospital).

The bodies of people from Pokhara and surrounding areas will be handed over to their relatives, while the bodies of foreign nationals, crew members, and unidentified bodies will be sent to the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.

Two members of the expert team formed for body identification and examination have arrived in Pokhara from Kathmandu. Preparations are being made to hand over the bodies to the concerned family after the completion of post-mortem procedures. The expert team formed for the post-mortem includes two expert doctors from Kathmandu and a doctor from Pokhara.
