Street food stand burst into flames outside shop in Thailand
This is the dramatic moment a street food stand burst into flames outside a shop in Thailand.
Roti vendor Amad Panchai, 23, lit the stove to make pancake-like sweets when his trolley exploded in Chiang Rai province on January 11 at 6:30 pm.
Shocking CCTV footage shows how the massive inferno ignited and engulfed the stall.
Amad could be seen fleeing with parts of his shirt catching fire while onlookers rushed to put out the blaze.
Street vendor Chatchawal Chiwdang, 41, who was nearby said: I' was selling noodles near Amad before I heard the explosion from the gas tank and screaming.
‘The flames were coming from the stove so I turned off the valve and disconnected the power plug after the flame had weakened.'
Chatchawal added he was trained on how to deal with a leaking gas tank or flame from the gas tank.
After that, the trolley was moved away from the scene where there were houses and several flammable objects.
Meanwhile, Amad was treated at the hospital and sustained minor burns on his face and hand, which will heal in the coming weeks.
Amad said it was fortunate that there were not many customers that day because many children usually come to buy his roti.
