Indian Army officers rescued a group of 172 construction workers who were left stranded by an avalanche in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir.

Footage shared by the Indian Army shows soldiers escorting the workers through the snow on January 14.

Workers from the Megha Engineering and Industry Limited were working on the construction of the Zojila tunnel when the avalanche occurred.

All 172 were successfully rescued.
