The cheeky two-year-old pooch named Maxine refused to return the banknotes to fur mum Sophia Perez, and nipped at her fingers came near.
Footage shows how Maxine lay on the mound of banknotes protectively as she eyed her owners with suspicion in their home in Manila on December 26.
Sophia said: 'The money was a gift my sister had received for Christmas. She had laid the bills out on the floor to count, but Maxine came along and claimed them as her own.'
