Visitors to the spectacular Winter Lights Festival enjoyed spectacular immersive light and sound installations (January 18) on its opening day, making a return after being cancelled the previous year due to Covid travel-restrictions.

The festival, the largest of its kind in the Capital, features 22 neon and LED artworks, that are dotted around the business district, and includes one of much-loved Luke Jerram's globes, which floats on the Middle Dock.

The reoccuring theme amongst the pieces is one of climate change, the beauty of the environment and bringing people back together..

The popular, free and family-friendly event runs until the 28th January.
