Out-of-control truck trailer carrying logs crashes into shop
This is the dramatic moment an out-of-control truck trailer carrying logs crashed into a shop in Thailand.
The trailer came loose before flattening dozens of durian saplings and damaging several vehicles at the seedling shop in Chanthaburi province on January 17.
Footage shows the object flinging into the property and smashing a parked pickup as it overturned.
The logs had scattered all around the area, damaging plants, a motorcycle, and a water truck.
Homeowner Supawat Promkana, 45, said he was having lunch with his family when they were jolted by a loud crash outside the house.
He said: 'I was shocked when I went outside and saw my greenhouse damaged. About a hundred seedlings had been destroyed.'
Truck driver Charnchai Pinlay, 30, said he was transporting the wood from Trat province to Rayong.
He said: 'I was not driving fast, but the trailer disconnected and I could not do anything. At first, the trailer was going to hit the car in front but I honked to warn the driver so he could avoid it.'
No one was reported injured in the accident.
Lieutenant Colonel Worachai Srijam, deputy investigator at the Khlung police station, said: 'We found a truck trailer overturned on the roadside, and hundreds of logs weighing more than 20 tons scattered all over the area.'
He added that they are continuing to gather evidence and will interrogate Charnchai before filing charges against him.
