Families of victims of human rights violations dressed in black conduct peaceful demonstrations in front of the State Palace in Jakarta, Indonesia every year on Thursday, since January 18, 2007.
Sixteen years later, the Kamisan action is still a space for victims, families of victims, and human rights activists to demand accountability. Law enforcement that guarantees human rights is still not implemented. The state has not taken concrete action in realizing justice and recovery for victims of gross human rights violations.
