This unsuspecting Amazon delivery driver was trying to deliver a package when he suddenly slipped and fell into a huge hole with a puddle containing waste water.

Charles Amicangelo was on his way to drop off the package in the pouring rain on January 10th when the ground gave way, making him slip and plunge into the disgusting raw sewage that was below.

Charles, 44, was trapped in the hole located in Apple Valley, California, for over 40 minutes as emergency services made their way to rescue the suffering driver.

He tried to haul himself up and out of the hole but the loose roots and top soil was causing a potential cave in.

Fortunately, the delivery truck was able to broadcast Charles' exact location and the police and fire services were able to lower ladders to allow him to escape.

Charles finished his route and then received medical attention in case of infection.

The entire ordeal was recorded and posted to TikTok where tens of millions have viewed and engaged with Charle's awful experience.

Charles said: "I was very nervous and afraid of causing a cave in.

"I was also frustrated about being stuck in the hole because I knew it would put me behind on my route and I was a bit disgusted about standing in other people’s waste.

"I was also in disbelief that the ground had collapsed beneath me as it had.

"I have not heard anything from Amazon since my incident but my employer had been very helpful in ensuring I get the medical attention I need and time off to recover from the fall."
