London's Chinese New Year celebrations end with spectacular light show, pyrotechnics and fireworks
The Lunar New Year celebrations at Trafalgar Square closed with a spectacular finale featuring lights, smoke and fireworks at the end of six hours of entertainment on stage (January 22).
Fireworks shot out from the top of the stage as Nelson's Column was lit up in red.
This year marked the celebrations' return in full, with a parade, a family stage, the main stage in Trafalgar Square and lion dances in Chinatown attracting thousands of visitors to the area.
