Shocked driver crashes into truck that suddenly turned across inside lane
A shocked driver crashed into a truck that suddenly turned across an inside lane on a highway in Thailand.
Wilawan Thapchan's husband was travelling with her when the six-wheeler switched lanes to turn right down a side road in Rayong province on January 9.
To avoid a collision, the husband slammed the brakes and swerved to avoid the truck but to no avail.
Dashcam footage shows the car swerving before drifting towards the median. The car slammed on the truck and signpost.
Wife Wilawan said: ‘My husband was alert and that saved us. The truck was wrong and we went to the police station.'
The truck driver agreed to pay for the damages after admitting at the police station that he was at fault.
Wilawan added: ‘We were not hurt and the insurance company would help us with the damages.'
