A rescuer lay in the cold sea water so trapped tourists could walk over him on their way back to the shore in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on January 23 shows a rescuer named Wang Yang walking to the middle of a sea and laying down for the eight tourists who were trapped on the reefs to step on him to walk to the shore.

According to reports, the lowest temperature in Qingdao City reached -10 degrees Celsius.

Wang said it was worth getting wet himself in return for eight people's safety.
