Two snakes locked in mating ritual in field
This is the moment two cobras were locked in a mating ritual in a field in Thailand.
Footage shows the pair coiling around each other on the grass next to a shop in Nakhon Phanom province on January 11.
Shop owner Komkrit Promdee, 47, said the 4ft-long reptiles are believed to be sunbeam snakes - non-venomous serpents found in Southeast Asia and known for their iridescent scales.
They shared a passionate embrace for 30 minutes, ignoring stares from curious passers-by, before slithering away into the undergrowth.
