Tens of thousands of tourists crammed into a well-known historical and cultural park in central China on Chinese New Year.

Video filmed in the city of Kaifeng in Henan Province on January 22 shows a large crowd packed into a top-rating tourist attraction named Qingming Shanghai Yuan.

According to an official of Qingming Shanghai Yuan, the park can receive up to 75,000 visitors at the same time. On the first day of the Chinese New Year the number of visitors reached 55,000, which was the largest passenger flow since the pandemic in 2020.

1月22日，大年初一，河南开封“清明上河园”景区人山人海，九龙桥上人头攒动，密密麻麻地走不动。清明上河园一位负责人介绍，目前清明上河园最多能够同时接待游客7万5千人，大年初一，接纳游客达5.5万人次，属于2020年疫情以来的最大客流。
