This is the shocking moment workers plunged to the ground floor when the cables snapped on a lift in Venezuela.

CCTV footage shows the steel structure crashing two floors onto the concrete at a warehouse in Zulia on January 17.

Two men embraced each other and came running out after the impact hurt their backs and legs.

Worried colleagues could be seen checking on them and asking what happened while one of the men laid on the ground and the other one ran out of the room in shock.

The worker in the video wearing an orange shirt Gregorio Hernandez said: ‘The cable broke while we were trying to go up one floor. Everything happened so fast.

‘When we heard it snapped, we were so scared and did not know what to do. We had some minor injuries because of it.'
