Padang city residents are trying to evacuate independently, due to flash floods that hit the Batu Busuak residential area, Padang City, Monday, January 23 2023.

As a result of the flash flood, approximately 200 families in the Batu Busuak area, Padang city were affected by water submerging approximately 30 centimeters to 1 meter.

one of the residents, rina said "the flash flood was triggered by the overflow of a river of rotting stones due to heavy rains flushing the city of padang,".

"The flood suddenly startled residents, because the area had never been hit by flash floods, even though it was not far from the river plains,".

As a result of the flood, the residents of Padang City tried to evacuate to a high place assisted by a joint search team.
