Tourists got stranded on Yellow Mountain Scenic Spot for around six hours in the snow in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Huangshan in Anhui Province on January 24 shows tourists queueing to walk down the snow-covered Yellow Mountain.

According to a scenic spot employee, the Chinese New Year holiday and the snow caused congestion and delays to the flow of customers.

The tourists were stranded on the mountain for around six hours and they could not get down until 8 pm.

The lowest temperature was reportedly below minus 10 degrees Celsius.

1月24日，安徽黄山风景区人员密集，道路拥堵，队伍一度阻滞不前，晚上6点左右，天色已暗，景区仍在飘雪，路面有积雪及冰冻，游客们排着队伍缓慢下山。有游客称，当天下午1点左右，从光明顶往玉屏索道走，当时已经出现人员滞留情况，直到晚上8点，还未能下山，在山上停留已有六个小时，当天最低气温有零下十几度。还有游客称，从光明顶到玉屏索道，日常40分钟的路走了7个小时，带回了4个冻疮。
1月25日，景区工作人员回应，春节加下雪导致了拥堵滞留，但都安全将游客送下山了。
据黄山景区官网显示，1月24日，黄山风景区接待游客34385人，创2018年以来春节假期单日接待量新高。黄山景区发布通告称1月25日景区门票预约数量已满，已停止预约。
