We started dogsledding with our first Alaskan Malamute Sojou 4 years ago and since that first meeting outside Cornwall Ontario in Canada our dreams of becoming dogsled mushers has literally snowballed. Our mentors are Snowy Mountain Sleddogs's, Kent & Cindy Merkely along with their 2 children Jasmine and Tyson were the ones who helped plant the seed that anything is possible .We joined Mush Larose dogsledding and Skijoring club where the Merkley's trained all newcomers dogs and would be mushers alike. From then on we worked towards educating ourselves and building a future sleddog team acquiring 2 more Tonomi Alaskan Malamutes Fish now 2 yrs and Sojou's daughter Dotty 1 yr. Winter can be a torture but made much more delightful when we have this kind of magical connection o man, beast and nature to look forward to each week.
