Mechanic scrambles to drag back truck after handbrake fails
A mechanic was seen on camera scrambling to drag back a truck after its handbrake failed.
CCTV footage shows the worker desperately pulling onto the panel at the back of the cargo bed in a bid to slow it down in Loei province on January 19.
He skidded and used his weight to stop the truck that rolled out of the garage.
The truck reached the road but eventually halted before it could hit the wall on the other side.
The mechanic's daughter Nungning Nano Ninew said: ‘My father was washing the truck but then it moved even when the handbrakes were safely pulled.'
Nungning added the incident didn't leave serious damage but one of the truck's side-view mirrors was shattered from bumping into a pole.
She said: ‘My father was not hurt too. He was really strong for his age.'
