Two officers of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) showed promptness as they rescued the life of a woman who fell while boarding moving train in western India's Gujarat.

The incident is reported to have happened at the Ahmedabad railway station on January 20.

Visuals showed the chilling moment when the woman lost her balance, slipped and fell while getting on the Jammu Tawi Express (19223). She was carrying luggage on both her hands. As she tried to get on the train, the lady, later identified as a 42-year-old named Amita Swain Puroshottam, slipped and fell. At that very moment the two CIB officers showed quick reflexes and pulled her out of harm's way, preventing a tragedy.

Staff head constable Girish Choudhary and Dhiraj Pal Singh saved the lady from falling into the gap between the train and the platform. The lady is a resident of eastern India's Odisha and was travelling from Ahmedabad to Jodhpur when this happened. She did not suffer any injury.
