Police removed Lyndsey Jane Kennedy, from a storm drain pipe in Delray Beach, Florida, USA, on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.

A woman has baffled emergency services in the USA after they had to pull her from a storm drain for the third time in just 22 months.

Lyndsey Jane Kennedy crawled down a drain in Delray Beach, Florida state, after police found her swimming in a canal on 18th January. After a lengthy stand-off police and firefighters eventually managed to pull her out using a ladder and a rescue harness. She was treated for minor injuries before being taken to hospital for a check-up.

But it has emerged that this was her third drain drama in less than two years. Police first rescued her in Delray in March 2021 - when she was aged 43 - and she claimed to have been wandering the sewer system for three weeks.
Kennedy told police she had got lost and had survived by drinking a can of ginger ale she had found still sealed in the pipework. She was rescued again just two months later from a storm drain in Grand Prairie, Texas state.

Her mum told police she has a long record of doing "odd things" and "making bad decisions".
