A dog owner shoved over an elderly man down after seeing him use his foot to push away the owner's dog in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in the city of Bazhong in Sichuan Province on January 23 shows an elderly man carrying his granddaughter in his arm using his foot to ward off an unleashed dog running to its owner, as his granddaughter was scared of it.

The dog was seen hit onto a box after the elderly man used foot to block its way, the box then fell down and nearly struck the dog.

After the dog’s owner saw the incident, he grabbed the elderly man’s throat and pushed him down onto the ground.

Nearby people came to attempt to separate them.

According to a police officer, the dog owner did not beat the grandfather after pushing him down. They have reached an agreement and the dog owner apologised and compensated him.
