Confused driver follows GPS only to end up stuck on train tracks in Thailand
A confused driver blindly followed his GPS only to end up stuck on a railway line as a train approached.
Footage shows a brave traffic officer running towards an oncoming locomotive pleading for it to slow down as behind him a white sedan was caught on the tracks in Chachoengsao province on January 27.
Train driver Aof had to pull the brakes to prevent colliding with the vehicle as the motorist battled to push his car to safety.
He said the driver blamed a 'faulty GPS app' on his smartphone for making him take a strange route before he was lost along the way.
Train operator Aof said: 'Luckily I managed to stop the train. Otherwise the car driver would have been dead. I hope this video makes people more careful on the roads.'
Aof added the car was later towed away on a dirt road that intersects the gravel tracks.
He said: ‘No one was hurt and the car was not damaged. The driver has to be really careful the next time he tries to use a GPS sysytem'.
