High school students attends class despite of heavy rains, dilapidated and unfinished school building
Mantigue National High School in Sitio Marabon, Balabac Island, Palawan, Philippines has very poor school building and facilities that accommodates around 387 students from Grade 6 to Grade 10. The unfinished classrooms has almost no roof and no walls to cover students from heavy rains or very hot and humid day. But despite of the very poor classroom, teenagers from the island eagerly walk for several miles despite of any weather just to attend school.
Vice President Sara Duterte, who is also education secretary, says the K-12 curriculum will be revised since its promise of producing employable graduates 'remains a promise.'
