A chimpanzee threw a plastic bottle back to a tourist who tossed the item into its enclosure at Changsha Ecological Zoo in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Changsha in Hunan Province on January 29 shows a man throwing a plastic bottle toward a chimpanzee.

The primate then picked up the bottle on the ground and flung it back to the tourist.

The zoo's publicity department said that they have reported the case to the management office and they will strengthen the inspection at the chimpanzee’s enclosure.

A netizen commented on Chinese social media: “Throw the man into the chimpanzee enclosure.”

Another netizen satirised the tourist: “It is a huge negligence in the zoo management. Why didn't they catch the chimpanzee running out?”
