Electric bicycles are displayed in Yichang, Hubei Province, China, Feb 1, 2023. According to the State Administration for Market Regulation, 62 batches of 295 batches of electric bicycles and electric bicycle batteries produced by 262 companies were found to be unqualified, with an unqualified rate of 21 percent. The test results showed that the unqualified rate of electric bicycles was 20.5 percent, 15.1 percent, 24.9 percent and 20.5 percent, respectively, in the past three years. This spot check focuses on the speed limit, braking performance, vehicle mass, structure, speed tone, fire performance and other 10 items. Except braking performance, other items are unqualified.
