This is the moment a girl named Miaomiao spoke out to her father for the first time since having a hearing aid fitted in northern China.

Heartwarming video filmed in the city of Chaoyang in Liaoning Province on January 29 shows a doctor putting a hearing aid onto a 12-year-old girl‘s ear.

She is then heard saying the words "papa", "speaking", and "hear" to her father.

In another clip, Miaomiao was shy and called out "papa" for the first time. Her elder brother was touched with tears in his eyes.

The father named Dong said his daughter suffered congenital hearing loss due to preterm birth and also had a middle ear infection when she was 1 year old, causing her to lose her hearing completely.

However, Dong realised that his daughter had a reaction to the noise from lit firecrackers during this year's Chinese New Year, he then thought a hearing aid may help his daughter.

Dong was excited and cried tears of joy after he found that his daughter could hear after wearing the hearing aid.

Dong said her daughter's language ability is just like a child learning to speak at the age of 1 or 2. Whether she can fully achieve the effect of communicating with normal people needs to be observed and trained slowly.

近日，辽宁朝阳，董先生记录了12岁女儿佩戴助听器的过程。视频中，董先生的女儿戴上助听器后四处寻找声音来源，随后跟着喊出了“爸爸”的声音，董先生激动得现场泪目。董先生介绍，女儿因为早产双耳先天性失聪，1岁时又得了中耳炎，彻底丧失听力，现在上的是聋哑学校，只能通过手语和文字沟通。直到今年春节回老家，女儿好像突然对放鞭炮的声音有了一点点反应，他便想到用佩戴助听器的方式，看下女儿是否可以听到声音。结果发现她的右耳还有一点儿残余的听力，左耳完全听不见声音。当他发现女儿佩戴助听器后能听见一些声音后，激动得泪目了，“像做梦一样，根本是不敢想象的奇迹”。现在女儿的语言能力就像是一两岁的小孩儿学说话一样，但是现在她已经12岁了，舌头已经不像小孩儿那么灵活，至于能否完全达到可以和正常人沟通的效果，需要慢慢的去观察和训练。视频由董先生提供。
