A golden retriever jumped out of a first-floor window to chase his owner who was going shopping in southern China.

CCTV footage filmed in Chongqing on January 19 shows a 3-year-old golden retriever named Zhuang Yuan suddenly jumping out of the window on the first floor to chase his owner named Cui who had just left the house to go shopping.

According to reports, Cui took Zhuang Yuan back to her hometown to celebrate the Chinese New Year the night before and she went out to do some shopping on that day without taking Zhuang Yuan with her as it would be easier.

Since Zhuang Yuan was not familiar with the place and might have thought Cui was abandoning him. He jumped out of the window to chase Cui in a hurry.

Cui said she was touched by Zhuang Yuan's action and fortunately he was not injured.
