Man almost drowns during Epiphany bathing in ice cold waters in Russia
A man in Nizhny Tagil, Russia, nearly drowned during Epiphany bathing in ice cold waters on 20 January.
Footage captured him descending into the waters and almost immediately passing out and starting to go underwater.
At first, eyewitnesses were unaware that the man had become ill before suddenly realising and pulling him out of the water.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations then arrived on the scene but thankfully, the man was revived and warmed up so did not require hospitalisation.
This near-drowning incident serves as a reminder of the importance of safety precautions when participating in such activities.
It is essential to be aware of one's own physical condition and to seek help immediately if any signs of illness or discomfort arise.
