Footage shows an F-22 safely shooting down a suspected Chinese spy balloon over 200 feet tall and carrying an airliner-sized load off the South Carolina coast near Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 4.

My husband and I were watching the Rutgers basketball game when I saw footage online of the Ballon in Myrtle Beach. After Rutgers win, we headed to the beach and immediately saw the balloon directly over head. We could also see fighter beats - and one heading for the balloon. I stared taping with my iPhone and caught the jet shoot into the balloon which which immediately deflated. The jet can then be seen nosediving away from the wreckage. We could see something dropping from the balloon as it exploded over the ocean directly in front of us. Shortly after this, another jet circled but then left the scene.
