Police drew batons and forcibly held back angry crowds as Liverpool and Wolves fans clashed following the latter's stunning 3-0 win on Saturday 4 February.

The match was held at Wolverhampton Wanderers' Molineux stadium, near which tension started to boil over.

The tension continued as fans moved towards the railway station in Wolverhampton.

Former champions Liverpool, at one point last season competing for four separate trophies, have had a terrible run of form in this one, even before their 3-0 defeat to one of the league's bottom-most teams.

With that notable win/loss in mind, both fans taunted each other until things started to get physical and the police had to get involved to split them up.
