A doting father does the daily school run - by taking his son to classes on a wooden speedboat.

Worapon Daoruang wanted to make his schoolboy's childhood memories fun but he was busy with working as a first responder so they would to have little time together.

However, Worapon and his wife found a house that was close to his work and also accessible to their child's school. The easiest route to classes was long the river, so Worapon bought the vessel in Surat Thani province, Thailand.

Footage shows the family riding in style on a wooden rescue boat to reach the school some 10 miles away. The youngster can now enjoy the view on the way to school every day while his father can do his river patrols with the local rescue team.

Worapon said: ‘When my son was younger, I was always away at work. I talked to my wife about finding a new place where I could pick him up on a boat and be close to work and nature.'
