A hailstorm left 4,000 homes damaged and even more without power in Dien Bien, northern Vietnam.

Footage from February 4 shows heavy rain battering down on the streets. The severe weather toppled trees and cut off power to 20,000 houses.

According to local people, sudden strong winds caused many trees to fall along with hail. But a large stone with a large size fell, causing their roof to be punctured and destroyed.
The 20-minute hailstorm caused 4,000 houses to have roof damage, hundreds of trees to toppled, and 20,000 households without power. This is the largest hailstorm in 20 years in this area.
