A festival known locally in Lang Son, Vietnam as Ruoc Tang Thing sees visitors touch a phallic-shaped statue for "good luck".

Footage filmed on February 5 shows tourists taking turns to have their photo taken with the penis-shaped object.

It's believed that by touching the statue, visitors will be granted good luck and peace.

Video captured the moment of the Festival of the procession and touching the giant phallic statue in Lang Son, Vietnam.

The bearing phallic wooden sculpture sized about 130cm long, 20cm in diameter, and weighs about 30kg.

The phallic statue will be placed at the festival for visitors to visit and touch. It is believed that touching it will bring good luck. Many people try to touch and hug the phallic statue, they think that touching and hugging the statue will bring peace.

This festival is usually held in January of the lunar year. It is believed to have originated in the 15th century and has endured to this day.
