This elusive beach is making a buzz among tourists as it only emerges during low tide in Thailand.

The 'Dragon Whisker' sandbar - so called because of the tendril-like appearance of its white, sandy shores - has become the newest trendy scenic spot found in the Kuhra Buri district of Phang Nga province.

According to Feng Shui beliefs, the sandbar's location is also considered by Feng Shui masters to be the 'dragon's head'.

When the sea level permits, it periodically resurfaces between the islands of Koh Ra and Koh Phra Thong, and measures almost four kilometres long.

Visitors can reach the strip via boat, and walk along the path as waves lap at their feet from multiple directions.

However, the tourist spot is only available during the low tide.
