Firefighters removed a huge 8-foot-long python from a resident's attic in Siteba, Padang, on February 6.

The snake had reportedly eaten a cat before being evacuated from the house.

Sutan Hendra, head of the Padang Fire Department, said: "When being evacuated, the personnel were almost bitten by snakes when they were lowered from the attics of residents' houses, fortunately, the snakes were quickly secured and put inside, which the snakes would later be released into a forest."

Receiving reports from the public, the Padang city fire department evacuated a python from the attic of a resident's house, Siteba area, Padang city, West Sumatra, Monday (6 February 2023).

While being evacuated, Padang city firefighters found the snake after swallowing its prey, which was suspected to be a cat. This can be seen from the shape of the stomach contents.
