A curious toddler fell into a water tub and climbed out unhurt while playing outside their home.

The energetic three-year-old boy clambered into one of the containers while running around in the garage in Bangkok, Thailand on January 10.

Footage shows the youngster leaning over and tumbling into the basin. He was submerged for a few seconds before he was seen emerging and standing up.

His worried mum was seen rushing to check on him after realising what just happened. The boy was unhurt from the incident.

Mother Sirinun Phanlong said: ‘I ran out when I heard him shouting then I saw he was wet. I was so scared for my son.

‘I checked the CCTV for how long he was under the water. Fortunately, it was for only a brief moment. But still, we needed to be more careful.'

Sirinun added they placed covers on the water tub to make it safer for her son to play around the house.

She said: ‘I hope the other parents would learn from our experiences. I just went to the bathroom for a moment and my son almost drowned.'
