A little boy choking on a jelly sparked panic as his parents fought to squeeze the snack from his chest.

The youngster was playing in the garage when he suddenly cried with his face darkening in Chainat province, Thailand, on November 6.

His quick-thiking father rushed to carry him when he realised the candy was stuck in his throat and blocked air passage.

More relatives arrived to help, with the frantic father preparing to rush him to the hospital, but his uncle successfully forced the jelly out of the youngster's chest.

Dramatic CCTV footage shows the father attempting to blow the food out of his son to no avail. Moments later, another man squeezed and shook the boy until the jelly was removed.

Mother Wipha Panuroj, 31, said: ‘I hope this serves as a warning to other parents. We didn't know what was wrong. He cried and when I looked he was looking strange.

‘His eyeballs, face, and lips have turned into a different colour. We would never buy jelly candy for our kids again.'

The young boy was uninjured after the incident.
