A heartbroken divorcee from Thailand has started to feel better after falling in love with a petite sex doll.

Suriya Sukkaset, 51, said he went through two painful divorces. His first marriage lasted for ten years while his second wife left him for someone younger.

To keep him company, he ordered the 157cm tall and 47kg doll online from Japan for 30,000 baht (740 GBP) in 2018 and later named her Tukta. He told the manufacturers to turn her into his dream wife with dark hair and fair skin.

Suriya and "soul mate" Tukta got married two years ago and they renewed their vows in a ceremony on February 1 at their home in Bangkok, Thailand. The husband lavished his wife with gold jewellery and new outfits.

Over the past five years, the man has always chosen her over dates with other women. He even turned down attempts by his ex-wife to reconcile with him because of his new love.

He said: "I saw an article online about a Western man travelling the world with a rubber doll after going through heartbreaks in life. I've been unlucky with women so I thought a doll would be a good solution. We've been together now for five years. She is my soul mate".

He added: "People think I'm crazy or mentally ill, but I'm not. I run a successful business, my ex-wife wants me back and there are lots of women that I could date, but I don't want to. The truth is that I prefer my doll, Tukta. I'm happy".

Suriya added he did not feel any form of connection with the doll at first but after making TikTok videos with her, he felt they had bonded.

He said that Tukta "came alive" when she found her passion - dressing up and posing for pictures.

He said: "I felt like the doll came to life. She turned out to be just like other women. She likes posing for pictures just like them and enjoys wearing gold and makeup. My mother named her Tukta before she died. I go to work and will spend time with Tukta at the end of the day. I clean her up and buy her nice clothes".

The man explained that he checked the dolls made in China and other Western countries and "thought they didn't look desirable".

"The manufacturers sexualise them too much and make their breasts and bottoms too big, not like a real woman", he said.

Apart from her looks, Suriya said he loves the doll because she has never left him or looked at other men, unlike his ex-wife.

"I went through two divorces in my life. I was married for ten years with my first and also another ten years with my second. I took good care of them. I bought them gold and nice clothes. But it wasn't enough for women, they always want more. My second wife was 13 years younger than me and she wanted a divorce because she wanted to meet someone her age. My doll will never do that. My doll is happy with everything and will never leave me".

He said: "Now I have my exes messaging me asking for a second chance. I tell them that they would need permission from Tukta. I will never leave my doll".
