A snowboarder is attacked by a capercaillie, a huge woodland grouse, while riding down the slopes of the Sheregesh Ski Resort in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia.

The footage shows the bird chasing the man and knocking him to the ground. He tries to protect himself by using his ski poles and board as shields.

Luckily, the man's friend intervenes and shoos away the angry bird.

Capercaillies tend to become aggressive towards humans during mating seasons. However, they are known for their combative behavior often shown when defending their territory from what they perceive as external threats.

The release of this video has sparked widespread concern among the resort's visitors who now worry about the potential dangers posed by wild animals in the area.
