This is the scary moment a huge centipede crawled out from a school bag onto a vet's feet - before she screamed in horror.

CCTV footage shows the mammoth nine-inch-long carnivorous and venomous creature wriggling across the floor in Phrae province, Thailand on February 6.

Mum-of-two Woraruthai Siriworanart was busy preparing medication for a customer when the insect emerged a few inches away from her.

Woraruthai did not immediately notice the beastly anthropod but screamed and leaped in the air moments later when she saw the dark black outline wriggling across the floor.

Woraruthai, who watched the incident back on the security footage, said: ‘I was too focused on work that I didn't know it was moving around me.

‘I checked on my son if he had any bites and thankfully he had none. I don't know where he got it.'

The terrified vet added she removed the creature with the help of colleagues.

She said: ‘The big centipede was wriggling next to me for almost a minute. If it had gotten on my toes, I would be injured because it was already an adult.'

Centipedes inflict painful stings that are predatory and venomous. They secrete the venom produced at the base of the fangs on each bite.
