After battling through rubble for 21 hours, rescue crews in Adiyaman, southeastern Turkey, uncovered a young woman who had been trapped in the rubble for 3 days on Wednesday (February 8).

Exclusive footage shows the heroic crews scrambling through the dark night to locate the woman, who was trapped beneath the rubble for 71 hours, since the earthquake struck on February 5.

The woman was transferred to a medical facility, with her status currently unknown.

Georgian crews worked throughout the night, coordinating with local officials to save anyone who could be still alive in the destruction, operating out of a nearby field camp.

A special group of 60 rescuers went to Turkey by the decision of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, with an additional 40 firefighters from Georgia to join the rescue efforts.

Officials estimate that 12,000 people died in the devastating 7.8 earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria.
