A chubby stray puppy with its head stuck in a car's wheel was rescued in Malaysia.

The pooch was playing with the other dogs at a carpark when it curiously poked its head inside the sedan in Kajang town on February 3.

It was whimpering loudly in a bid to call for help while its dog friend stood nearby until kind drivers heard it and helped.

Footage shows one of the car owners gently pulling the dog out of the wheel. In another clip, the weary pooch was seen desperately trying to take its head out but to no avail.

Onlooker Mohd Khairul Firdaus Bin said: ‘It was such a silly dog. We were relieved it was fine and unhurt. The driver's seat is on the opposite side so he could be hurt if the owner didn't notice him.'

The dog happily ran around its rescuers like it was saying thank you. It was given food and driver Mohd he and his friends always brought snacks for the pooch since that day.

He said: ‘We don't know if someone owned the dog but I think it was a stray. We always bring him food since then.'
